Customize The Look Of Internet Download Manager (IDM) Interface
Internet download manager otherwise known as IDM has through the years proven to be one of the best download managers due to it's flexibility, download acceleration capability, browser integration function and general download organization.
Internet download manager (IDM) provides yet another flexible option for it's users which allows them to customize the look and feel of the toolbar from the regular default toolbar to a wide range of options which are sleek, smart and sharp.
Internet Download Manger by default comes with a toolbar just like in the image below;
However, you may customize the look and feel of the toolbar interface to look totally different from the default toolbar to something like what you see below;
HOW THEN CAN I CHANGE THE LOOK OF MY INTERNET DOWNLOAD MANAGER TOOLBAR?.
Simple, just visit the Internet download manger toolbar webpage HERE
Before you can try this you must already have Internet download manger on your PC. To Download it Click HERE
Locate the toolbar you like most from the options there and click on Download ZIP option below it to download the toolbar to your system.
You may download as many toolbars as possible but you can only use one toolbar at a time.
When you might have downloaded the toolbar, you have two options of how you can apply the toolbar.
OPTION 1; Open the zip folder of the toolbar you downloaded, copy all the files in the Toolbar folder, browse to the toolbar directory of the Internet download manager and paste it.
Generally, C:\Program files (x86)\Internet Download Manager\Toolbar\
or
C:\Program files\Internet Download Manager\Toolbar\
OPTION 2: Directly extract the contents of the toolbar zip folder you downloaded to the same directory as above, that is C:\Program files (x86)\Internet Download Manager\Toolbar\
or
C:\Program files\Internet Download Manager\Toolbar\
When you have finished copying or extracting the contents of the toolbar folder to the appropriate IDM toolbar folder on your system. Close the IDM through the Task manager or just through the system notification area, right-click on the IDM icon and click on EXIT.
Now restart IDM, on the MENU option Click on VIEW ===> TOOLBAR. Below where you have 3D STYLE you will see the toolbars you have and can choose from depending on how many you have copied or extracted into it. Select any of them and Catch Ya.... It gets applied.
