MTN Back up is a service which offers an MTN subscriber the benefit of

With a back up, you have your important contacts saved in a secured
and safe system.

MTN BACKUP gives you the opportunity to store 5,000 (five thousand)
contacts saved on your phone and 200 (two hundred) contacts from your
SIM.

To perform MTN BACK UP for the first time it costs #100 while each
subsequent back up cost #50.
So no matter how many contacts you want to backup at first, you just
pay #100 even if they are 5,200. Also if you want to back up even 1 or
any amount of contact(s) after that you pay #50.

To Back Up your contacts, locate MTN SERVICES on your Phone Menu.
Select it, then Click/Select MTN BACK UP. Select BACK UP SIM CONTACTS.
The message "MTN BACKUP: Do you want to synchronize(i.e update) your
SIM Phonebook now?" will be shown/displayed, Select Ok.
With the above correctly done, your phone will show you operation in progress.

Alas, your MTN BACKUP has been done.

Just wait for a message from MTN that will tell you that your MTN
BACK UP has been completed.
