TotalEnergies Africa Cup Of Nations(AFCON) 2025 Tournament Draw
The 24 qualified teams were drawn into six groups each containing four sides ahead of the 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026 finals tournament. The tournament will span across six host cities and nine stadia in Morocco as Africa’s best chase the continent’s most coveted trophy in football.
The host, Morocco, headline Group A alongside Mali, Zambia and Comoros in what looks a hotly contested pool.
The most successful country in the Africa Cup Of Nations(AFCON) tournament, Egypt, record seven-time winners will have a face-off with three of Southern African teams in Group B South Africa, Angola and Zimbabwe.
Group C has Nigeria to lock horns with Tunisia and the East African duo of Uganda and Tanzania, who will be co-hosts of TotalEnergies CAF AFCON 2027.
In Group D, the 2021 champions Senegal will go up against Democratic Republic of Congo, Benin and Botswana.
Algeria, winners in 2019, take on Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea and Sudan in Group E.
The defending champions, Cote d’Ivoire will come up against old rivals and five-time winners Cameroon, Gabon and Mozambique in Group F as they look to claim back-to-back titles.
The first group match of the tournament will take place on the 21st of December 2025 between Morroco and Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the round of 16, along with the four best Third-placed sides.
GROUP A: Morocco, Mali, Zambia, Comoros
GROUP B: Egypt, South Africa, Angola, Zimbabwe
GROUP C: Nigeria, Tunisia, Uganda, Tanzania
GROUP D: Senegal, DR Congo, Benin, Botswana
GROUP E: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Equatorial Guinea, Sudan
GROUP F: Cote d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Gabon, Mozambique
The tournament host, Morocco, will be opening the tournament on 21 December, 2025 with a battle against Comoros at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium, Rabat.
Three time winner who last lifted the trophy in the 2013 edition, Nigeria, will be playing their first match against Tanzania on 23 December, 2025 at Fez stadium, Fez.
The round of 16 will be played from January 3 to January 6 2026.

Final and closing ceremony will be held on 18 January 2026
